The Philippine Dental Association in collaboration with Colgate Palmolive Philipines Inc once again conducted this years Region I Northwestern Luzon Regional Conference in Baluarte ni Chavit Vigan City Ilocos Sur on May 25 2011. The event which focused on Dental Practice Management was hosted by Ilocos Sur Dental Chapter headed by Chapter President Dr Lymuel M Pascua and was attended by delegates from the Pangasinan Dental Chapter headed by Dr. Agnes P Silvino La Union Dental Chapter headed by Dr. Sonia A. Eugenio, Baguio City Dental Chapter Dr. Marie Joyceline J Balderas, Benguet Dental Chpater headed by Dr Karen Jane W Bilango and Ilocos Norte Dental Chapter headed by Dr. Gloria Estrella A Gabriel.
The said event was formally opened by Dr. Ronaldo P Nunez, PDA Vice President for Luzon North and was attended by PDA Officers headed by PDA President Dr. Robert Tajonera together with dignitaries PDA President Elect and Chairman for Colgate Scientific Program Dr. Arturo P De Leon, Dr. Angelo Militante, chairman for PDA Continuing Dental Education Dr. Jay Hansel Tabije and Oral Care Consultant, Colgate Palmolive Philippines Inc for Region I Mr Ryan C Bonzon.
In line with the theme Dental Practice Risk Management the event was highlighted by scientific lectures namely Risks Management in Dental Practice by Dr. Arturo P De Leon, Chemical Plaque Control Agents Revisited by Dr. Nanette V Vergel De Dios, Diagnostic Procedure for Dentin Hypersensitivity by Dr. Francisco C Jimenez Jr. Management of complicated Exodontia by Dr Jay Hansel Tabije and Interim Therapeutic Restoration A New Approach in Treating Dental Caries in Children by Dr. Fenella Isabel G Galvan.
